The final episode of the first part of Dr. STONE SCIENCE FUTURE is here, so it’s time to look ahead… to the future! Part 2 plans have been further cemented, with the continuation now lined up for a July 2025 debut.
Senku and Xeno are at the heart of the new commemorative illustration from character designer Yuko Iwasa.
The manga started in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump in 2017, with the anime adaptation launching two years later. In 2021, the anime’s second season, Dr. STONE: Stone Wars, came out. This was followed by the special Dr. STONE: Ryusui in 2022. 2023 brought us the third season, called Dr. STONE: New World, and the latest season, Dr. STONE SCIENCE FUTURE, started on January 9.
VIZ Media has published the entire Dr. STONE manga series by Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi, and gave this description for the first volume:
Dr. STONE Plot
One fateful day, all of humanity was petrified by a blinding flash of light. After several millennia, high schooler Taiju awakens and finds himself lost in a world of statues. However, he’s not alone! His science-loving friend Senku’s been up and running for a few months and he’s got a grand plan in mind—to kickstart civilization with the power of science!
