We’re just a week away from the promised Nintendo Direct all about Switch 2, but that actually won’t be the focus of the next Direct. Nintendo announced another showcase for tomorrow, March 27 at 7:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
Rather than focus on the looming console on the horizon, this Direct will take some time to hone in on the near future for the current Switch. Without going into any specifics whatsoever, Nintendo promised a look at “around 30 minutes of upcoming games for Nintendo Switch.”
In addition to the PR, Nintendo hit up X (formerly Twitter) to remind everyone that there won’t be any Switch 2 talk during this particular Direct.
For those holding out for the Switch 2 Direct, the anticipated presentation is still locked in for April 2. Those plans were confirmed along with Nintendo’s official announcement of Switch 2. The reveal came in January after what seemed like an eternity of rumors, leaks and endless radio silence from Nintendo.
While it’s unclear which games will also come out in the Switch successor, there’s plenty that could be discussed during this week’s video. We recently learned more about Pokémon Legends: Z-A, but there’s also Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and plenty of third party outings like Professor Layton and the New World of Steam.
We’ll have to wait until early tomorrow morning to find out, but feel free to speculate on anything but Switch 2. Save that one for next week!
