The latest anime film from the folks at Studio 4ºC is ChaO, which officially has a premiere date lined up for Japan. As revealed in a new teaser trailer and visual, the feature from director Yasuhiro Aoki (character designer for Psycho-Pass – The Movie) will open in Japan on August 15.

The two main cast members, Ouji Suzuka as human protagonist Stefan and Anna Yamada as mermaid kingdom princess ChaO, are pictured in the collage below.
In addition to Aoki as director, the anime film has Hirokazu Kojima (chief animation director for The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie) as character designer and chief animation director, with Hiroshi Takiguchi (Weathering With You) as art director.

Beyond ChaO, Studio 4ºC is also working on an anime adaptation of All You Need is Kill.
